At CLARINE we want you to be completely satisfied with your purchase. If you're not happy with your order for any reason, we offer a straightforward return and refund process.

This policy applies to all purchases made through our websites clarine.co and clarineco.com.

Our Promise: We stand behind the quality of our products and are committed to making the return process as smooth and hassle-free as possible. Your satisfaction is our priority.

1. Return Eligibility

We have a 60-day return policy, which means you have 60 days after receiving your item to request a return.

✓ Items Eligible for Return:

To be eligible for a return, your item must meet ALL of the following conditions:

  • ✓ Item is in the same condition that you received it
  • ✓ Item is unworn and unused
  • ✓ Item has tags attached
  • ✓ Item is in its original packaging
  • ✓ You have the receipt or proof of purchase
  • ✓ Return is requested within 60 days of delivery

✗ Non-Returnable Items:

Certain types of items cannot be returned:

  • Worn or Used Items: Any watch showing signs of wear, use, or strap adjustments
  • Items Without Tags: Items with tags removed or damaged
  • Items Without Original Packaging: Watches not in the original box and protective materials
  • Custom or Personalized Products: Any special orders or items with custom engraving (if applicable)
  • Perishable Goods: Food, flowers, plants (not applicable to watches, but stated for completeness)
  • Hazardous Materials: Flammable liquids or gases (not applicable to watches)
  • Items Showing Customer Damage: Scratches, dents, or damage that occurred after delivery

Important: We reserve the right to deny refund or replacement requests if damage appears to have occurred after delivery or if the item shows signs of use or wear. All items are thoroughly inspected upon return.

2. How to Start a Return

Returning an item is easy! Just follow these steps:

  • Reason for return (e.g., "Changed my mind," "Doesn't match my style," "Size issue")
  • Photos of the item (if claiming a defect, damage, or receiving the wrong item)
  • Whether you prefer a refund, store credit or raplacement

2Receive Return Authorization

If your return is accepted, we will provide instructions on how and where to send your package. We typically respond within 1-2 business days.

Important Shipping Notes:

  • You are responsible for all return shipping costs and associated fees
  • For international customers, this involves shipping the item internationally to Spain
  • We strongly recommend reviewing international shipping rates before initiating a return
  • Use a trackable shipping method with insurance for your protection
  • Keep your tracking number – you'll need it to confirm delivery

4We Inspect & Process

Once we receive your return:

  • We'll inspect the item to ensure it meets return conditions (1-3 business days)
  • We'll notify you once we've received and inspected your return
  • We'll let you know if the refund was approved or not
  • If approved, you'll be automatically refunded within 10 business days

3. Return Shipping Costs

Customer is responsible for return shipping costs in all cases except when the return is due to our error (defective item, wrong item sent, or damaged in transit).

Lost in Transit: We are not responsible for items lost during return shipping. This is why we strongly recommend:
  • Using a trackable shipping method
  • Purchasing shipping insurance for high-value returns
  • Keeping your tracking number until the return is confirmed

Once the carrier confirms delivery to our Spain return address, your return will be processed.

4. Damages and Issues

Please inspect your order upon reception and contact us within 48 hours if:

  • The item is defective
  • The item is damaged in transit
  • You received the wrong item

What to Include in Your Email:

  • Your order number
  • Clear description of the issue
  • Clear photos of the item
  • Photos of the packaging (including box and shipping label)

We'll Evaluate and Offer a Solution:

We'll evaluate the issue and, if confirmed, offer a suitable solution such as:

  • A free replacement (shipped at no cost to you - you may not need to return the defective item)
  • A full refund (we'll cover return shipping if return is needed)
  • A partial refund (for minor issues that don't affect functionality - you keep the item)
  • Store credit

Note: In many cases of defective or damaged items, we'll simply send you a replacement at no cost without requiring you to return the defective item. This saves you time and shipping hassles!

4.1 Cosmetic Damage and Minor Imperfections

All items are thoroughly inspected and packaged securely before shipping. However, in rare cases, items like watches may arrive with minor cosmetic imperfections (e.g., small surface scratches) due to transit.

These do not affect performance and are not considered defects.

If your item has minor cosmetic damage and is otherwise fully functional, we may offer:

  • A partial refund (typically 10-20%)
  • Store credit
  • A replacement, depending on severity

We reserve the right to deny refund or replacement requests if damage appears to have occurred after delivery or if the item shows signs of use or wear.

5. Exchanges

We do not offer direct exchanges for standard returns. If you want to exchange for a different style or color, the fastest way is to:

  1. Return the item you have (following the return process above)
  2. Receive your refund (within 10 business days after inspection)
  3. Place a new order for the item you want

Exception - Free Replacement for Our Errors: If you received the wrong item, a defective product, or an item damaged in transit, we will send you a replacement or the correct item at no additional cost. In most cases, you won't need to return the defective/wrong item. Just contact us at info@clarineco.com with:

  • Your order number
  • Clear photos of the issue
  • Photos of the packaging (including shipping label)

We'll ship you a replacement right away!

6. Refunds

6.1 Refund Timeline

We will notify you once we've received and inspected your return, and let you know if the refund was approved or not.

If approved:

  • You'll be automatically refunded on your original payment method within 10 business days
  • Please remember it can take some time for your bank or credit card company to process and post the refund

6.2 What's Included in Your Refund

Your refund will include:

  • Product Price: Full amount paid for the item(s)

Your refund will NOT include:

  • Original Shipping Costs: Not refunded unless the return is due to our error (defective item, wrong item sent, damaged in transit)
  • Return Shipping Costs: You are responsible for paying to ship the item back
  • Customs Duties or Import Taxes: We cannot refund any customs fees, import taxes, or VAT you paid when receiving your order

6.3 Refund Method

Refunds are issued to your original payment method:

  • Credit/Debit Card: Refund appears as a credit on your statement
  • PayPal: Refund credited to your PayPal account
  • Shop Pay: Refund credited to your Shop Pay account

We cannot issue refunds to different payment methods or accounts (e.g., if you paid by card, we cannot refund to PayPal).

6.4 Partial Refunds

In certain circumstances, we may issue a partial refund:

  • Item shows signs of use or wear
  • Item is returned more than 60 days after delivery
  • Item is not in original condition or has missing parts
  • Minor cosmetic damage that doesn't affect functionality (typically 10-20% refund)

We will notify you via email if a partial refund is being issued and explain the reason. You will have the option to have the item returned to you instead (at your expense).

7. Store Credit

Instead of a refund to your original payment method, we may offer store credit in certain situations:

  • As an alternative solution for minor cosmetic damage
  • When you prefer store credit over a refund
  • For returns outside the standard 60-day window (at our discretion)

Store Credit Benefits:

  • Can be used for any future purchase on our Site
  • No expiration date (unless otherwise stated)
  • May include bonus credit in certain cases

Store credit will be issued as a unique code sent to your email address.

8. European Union 14-Day Cooling-Off Period

Notwithstanding the above, if the merchandise is being shipped into the European Union, you have the right to cancel or return your order within 14 days, for any reason and without justification.

EU Consumer Rights:

  • You may cancel within 14 days of receiving your order
  • No reason needed for cancellation
  • Item must be in the same condition as received (unworn, unused, with tags, in original packaging)
  • You'll need the receipt or proof of purchase
  • You are responsible for return shipping costs (unless the item is defective or we made an error)

This is in addition to our standard 60-day return policy, giving EU customers extra protection under European consumer law.

9. International Returns

Our return policy applies to customers worldwide. However, there are important considerations for international returns:

9.1 Return Shipping

  • You are responsible for international return shipping costs to our Spain address (unless the return is due to our error)
  • International return shipping can be expensive – please check rates before initiating a return
  • Use a trackable international shipping method (DHL, FedEx, UPS, or your country's postal service)
  • Declare the package as "Returned Merchandise" to potentially avoid additional customs charges

9.2 Customs & Duties

  • We cannot refund customs duties, import taxes, or VAT paid when you received your order
  • You may be able to reclaim these fees from your country's customs authority – contact them directly
  • We are not responsible for customs delays or holds when you ship returns to Spain

9.3 Refund Currency

  • Refunds are issued in USD (the original purchase currency)
  • Currency conversion rates may differ from the original purchase date
  • Your bank may charge currency conversion fees

10. Exceptions / Non-Returnable Items

In addition to the items mentioned in Section 1, certain types of items cannot be returned:

  • Perishable goods (such as food, flowers, or plants)
  • Custom products (such as special orders or personalized items)
  • Personal care goods (such as beauty products)
  • Hazardous materials, flammable liquids, or gases

11. Warranty Coverage

Warranty vs. Returns:

  • Returns (60 days): For change of mind, style preference, or non-defective reasons
  • Warranty (2 years): For manufacturing defects that appear after the return period

12. Fraud Prevention

To protect our customers and business, we monitor return activity for signs of abuse or fraud. Patterns that may indicate return abuse include:

  • Excessive returns or return rate significantly above normal
  • Returning items that show signs of wear or use
  • Returning items without original packaging or tags
  • Claiming false defects or damage

We reserve the right to:

  • Deny returns that do not comply with this policy
  • Issue partial refunds for items not in original condition
  • Suspend or terminate accounts for return policy violations
  • Refuse future orders from customers with suspicious return patterns
